Tips for Marriage

Why people marry can be a tough question. This is because there are so many different reasons people get married. Some good and some bad. For example, if you’re going to marry someone just because you want their m0ney this is bad. Sounds like common sense to me, but there are people who think it’ s okay to marry for money.

Another bad reason to marry is to make other people happy. Let’s say your family adores your girlfriend/boyfriend and is pressuring you to marry them, so you give in.

What about those who marry out of fear that nobody else wants them and this is their only chance. This is not a good reason to get married, so don’t do it.

Then there’s the women who dream of a big beautiful wedding and they get married so they can have a wedding, wear a wedding gown and stroll down the aisle like in the movies. This is like a fantasy come true for them, but it’s a wrong reason to marry.

Here are a few more reasons not to marry: she’s pregnant, loneliness, to help someone else, to further your career, the sex is great or to have sex. All your friends are married so you should be too. To make someone jealous or as a payback. Yes, people do this I see them on television shows like Jerry Springer and Maury.

The best reason to get married is because you love the person. However, it needs to be real love and not infatuation there is a difference. Real love comes with a commitment that lasts a lifetime.This is where the  sickness and health, richer or poorer, better or worse stuff comes in. A long engagement can be a great way to test so called love.

If someone wants to get married right away don’t do it, but instead take a trial separation to gain a better perspective. This will also reveal true feelings.

Feelings can lie, so you can’t go by feelings alone. There also needs to be a logical and realistic thinking process and analyzation of the relationship. This is done better while alone and without coercion from your partner or anyone else.
